Senari Synergy Port Sdn Bhd (SSPSB) completed their annual fire drill this morning. 23 participants consisting of administrative staff, tugboat, and security teams attended the drill.

It was conducted at Senari Synergy Industrial Complex (SSIC) substation junction at 10:30 am and was led by BOMBA officer, Encik Rapiee from Stutong Fire and Rescue Department. The drill consists of a Q&A session, fire demonstration, and training on how to use the fire extinguisher correctly. It went on for an hour before ending at noon..

According to Mr. Mechiel, “The objective of this drill was for BOMBA to share their knowledge and experience on actions that need to be undertaken during a fire situation, as well as a refresher on basic fire prevention knowledge”.

The drill also enabled SSPSB to review the effectiveness and skills of their Emergency Response Team (ERT), especially in fire prevention.

SSPSB plans to conduct a full fire and security drill with Jabatan Laut and related agencies in 2023 as part of their initiative to strengthen their ERT.
