Senari Synergy in Support of Creativity Amongst The Limkokwing Institute Students

A joint initiative between Senari Synergy with Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology to strengthen and magnify creativity and innovation amongst the university students was successfully completed. Senari Synergy complements the institute efforts in inspiring and enhancing the creativities by giving opportunities for their students to develop designs for new logo of Senari Synergy as part of the company’s effort to develop and further enhance its corporate visual image. There were encouraging participations from the students and Senari Synergy was indeed overwhelmed by such response.

Tuan Haji Jefri Ahmad Tambi, the Managing Director of Senari Synergy in his speech said “Senari Synergy thanked Limkokwing lecturers for the commitment to ensure for the successful collaboration. To the students, it is hoped that the avenue had enabled them to put learning into practice, to have the experience to understand their customers/clients requirements as these forms the basis for them to prosper after graduating. It is also hoped that more opportunities could be developed for the students to polish and strengthen their competitiveness, thus improving learning outcomes as well as promoting quality graduates amongst them.”

He stressed that “Senari Synergy will continue to support the education system by preparing the students to meet the requirements of an ever-changing job market, while also helping them discover their own talents and achieve the powerful satisfaction that comes from lifelong learning”.

He also mentioned that “besides Limkokwing, in support of the Government’s program to develop students with the right skills and improve their employability, Senari Synergy has been consistently receiving internship students from various universities to train the students in different disciplines ranging from engineering to office administration. For the past five (5) years, there were 42 students who had been with us. About 62% was from the engineering background students and followed by HSSE (14%), Accounts & Finance (11%), and Chemistry/ Biology (8%). Our Independent Oil Terminal in Senari and Central Oil Distribution Terminal in Tanjung Manis have continuously been receiving students for their practical trainings in engineering discipline and other related vocational trainings. Besides the terminals, the students are also exposed to the oil, gas and chemicals port operations.

A prize giving ceremony was held to recognise contributions of both the Limkokwing lecturers and students in conjunction with the joint initiative. The prizes were awarded by Tuan Haji Jefri Bin Ahmad Tambi, the Group Managing Director of Senari Synergy Group of Companies. The ceremony was witnessed by the Senior Lecturer of Faculty of Design Innovation, Mr Petrus Alfred, Madam Rosedelina Mustapha, Miss Lulu Law, the Management and staff of Senari Synergy Group of Companies together with the students of Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology. The first prize was awarded to Jeremy Emang Jecky for his best design and consolation prizes were given to each of the participants. Senari Synergy also contributed a token to Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology in support of their continuous effort in promoting innovation and creativity in its Borneo Campus.
