Kuching - Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd today paid a courtesy visit to YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, the Right Honourable Premier of Sarawak, during which the Group handed over RM445,000 in business zakat to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak. The handover was witnessed by the Right Honourable Premier and President of Sarawak Islamic Council, YBhg. Datuk Haji Misnu bin Haji Taha.
A portion of the zakat contribution, channelled through the wakalah mechanism, will be utilised to further strengthen Senari Synergy’s Permata Synergy Programme. The programme is a structured and long-term social initiative designed to support and uplift underprivileged children aged six to twelve through access to education, holistic wellbeing, and sustained development support.
During the visit, Senari Synergy also took the opportunity to brief the Right Honourable Premier on the Group’s current progress and strategic direction, including its continued role in strengthening its position as the state strategic facilities provider, its transition towards green and sustainable energy solutions, and its regional expansion initiatives aligned with Sarawak’s long-term development agenda.
Senari Synergy Group also conveyed its congratulations to the Right Honourable Premier on being conferred the Order of the Rising Sun last year, in recognition of his exemplary leadership and significant contributions towards strengthening international cooperation and advancing Sarawak’s socio-economic development.
